Working Together to Realize This Vision

Tackling health disparities requires a comprehensive understanding of the root causes of these inquiries. Prevention Institute works with our partners to realize this vision through a multifaceted approach that integrates health equity and racial justice into public health initiatives.

By fostering collaboration among stakeholders, including community organizations, policymakers, and health professionals, PI and our partners aim to create systemic change that enhances health outcomes for marginalized populations.

Our Journey with This Issue

Prevention Institute has made significant strides in bridging health equity and racial justice through various projects and initiatives since 2010.

Central to this effort is the Building Bridges: The Strategic Imperative for Advancing Health Equity and Racial Justice initiative, which emphasizes collaboration among stakeholders to address disparities in health outcomes.

PI’s commitment to health equity is further reflected in our Health Equity and Racial Justice initiative, which focuses on dismantling systemic barriers that affect marginalized communities, including people of color and veterans.

Additionally, PI engages in community-based projects, such as the People, Parks, and Power initiative, aimed at enhancing access to green spaces in underserved communities, thereby promoting health equity through environmental justice.

Through these efforts, PI actively works to create a more equitable health landscape, ensuring that all individuals have fair opportunities to achieve health and well-being.
